Chesney is a cute dun pony. He looks like a fjord x, but we don’t know his pedigree. He is aprox 13:1, stocky, 18-20yr. Hairy yak in winter, easy keeper. His hobbies include being doted on by kids, unchaperoned trips to the hay stack, & causing mischief with my son. He’s rides in a hack or bit. Is very forgiving of rider mistakes. Has had many trail & beach miles over the years. Happy to just plod along, but will trot and canter if asked, with good breaks. He does great on our obstacle course, over logs, through trash pit, curtains etc, throw a rope off him, drag a barrel or calf. Goes through mud & water. Road safe. Not a whole lot bothers him. He’s use to the chaos around here with dogs, farm animals, feral children, gun fire, quads, and more. He’s even been led around by our inflatable T. rex. He has carried adults with no problem, and loves kids. Chesney does need a grazing muzzle if he’s going to be on spring grass, as we where told he foundered years ago.
