Frosty is a gorgeous, big, stout, bay roan gelding that we purchased in May.

He is a very sweet gelding.

“Frosty “ is a bit standoffish at first but once he settles in he let us brush and pet him, pick up his feet. He prefers to stay out of your bubble until he’s comfortable with you.

When you lead him he prefers to follow quietly behind you by about 2-3 feet. We have been working with him to lead next to us. 

Here is what we have experienced in the time we have had Frosty.

He’s very soft mouthed and doesn’t work the bit. He neck reins, he knows leg pressure, he has a fantastic Whoa! He is a bit skittish around his left hip as he was branded prior to bringing him to the May sale.

Frosty was owned by an older couple since he was born. And was a trail horse. But he wasn’t used for the last few years. The previous owners put a lot of time into getting him tuned up and ready to go. You can see that on the video. Frosty doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, he loves his eyes and forehead stroked.

He’s great with my gelding, not food possessive, they eat together. 

He doesn’t crib or suck wind. He round pens at liberty and knows verbal commands. 

We have ridden him at a walk only. He is quiet, respectful and well mannered. 

He wants very much to trust and could be someone’s Heart Horse. 

He needs the time to settle in to his new home and adjust to his new people. 

Unfortunately I don’t have that time as I work a full time job as well as a part time job.
