ELA Soundness Policy: Covered

15 Month old Pinto pony colt. Bay pinto colt with a great personality – friendly, curious. Unique with one brown eye and one blue eye. Nothing bothers him and he is quick to learn things. He will stand respectfully when being fed and will go to his place to eat his supplements when you call him. He waits till you put the dish down and does not crowd you or try to get the food out of your hands. Ties great and has had his feet handled regularly. He has been driven with our Haflinger team on the ranch and on the road. He was tied to the collar of the Haflinger gelding and walked along with the team when we drive them. He figured out pretty quickly what was expected of him and moves along side of the gelding and keeps pace and figured out the turns right away. He will make a really nice 4-H project, driving prospect and riding pony. He has learned to pick things up by watching my Quarter horse gelding that does tricks. He is not bothered by things around his feet and stands in the tire feeder to eat. Current on shots with an 8 way including West Nile. Was wormed in Spring and In November with Quest plus. He has not yet been castrated as his testicles have not dropped. He shows no signs of stud like behavior and no signs of aggression. He has been turned out with our Haflinger team – a mare and a gelding. He has also spent some time turned out with our 3 mini horses. He gets along well with other horses and is respectful with the mini’s. The mini mares keep him minding his manners and he plays with the mini gelding. He is gentle and has been used in a groundwork equine therapy program. His mother is also entered in the sale “Emma” – Pinto pony – We have no info on his daddy. His momma is 12.2 hands tall.
